HaloDrive concept innovation for hauling heavy loads

Conceptual Innovations, a custom design and manufacturing company backed by Caster Concepts, has released the HaloDrive. This omnidirectional motor drive system delivers precise motion for the largest, heaviest and most complex applications in any industry. The patented design of the HaloDrive Pod features drive wheels for added mobility in harsh industrial environments, with a maximum payload of 50 tons, dimensions up to 250 feet, and extreme accuracy to 0.5mm in any direction. HaloDrive is the only omnidirectional drive technology currently available that is independently powered by a motor. Its modular design allows carts and lifts to be upgraded to increase the functionality, weight and size of equipment commonly used in manufacturing and service, such as:
“The HaloDrive system provides a more efficient and safer work environment,” said Dr. Elmer Lee, CTO of Conceptual Innovations and Caster Concepts. “The system does not require special certification or training, and the ability to move heavy objects easily reduces the risk of work injuries.” that carry extreme loads. Avoid tight corners and tight spaces while weighing. Engineers have found that their HaloDrive solves many problems beyond its intended use.
• Less acquisition, operation and maintenance costs compared to other equipment with the same lifting capacity.
?No modifications to the facility or special floors, walkways, paths, etc. are required.
• Electric Motor Drive: Minimizes the operator’s workload and reduces the risk of fatigue and overwork.
Full axle steering allows for complex maneuvers and turns on the spot to conserve floor space and increase productivity.
Demand for HaloDrive is distributed across industries, with special systems recently developed for Boeing and NASA. Albion’s Conceptual Innovation facility handles 85 percent of the manufacturing process in-house. From idea to delivery, custom systems and modifications take six to eight weeks to design and manufacture. “Our speed from design to delivery is well above the industry average because we have the ability to do most of the process in-house,” Li says. “Not only do we oversee design and construction, but we also manage most of the supply so our customers don’t have to face the same supply chain issues that other manufacturers face.”
