Metal Claw is a Steel-type physical move in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that deals 50 damage but has a certain chance to increase its own attack power by one level. However, the PP cost is relatively high at 35, maxing out at 56. However, the Metal Claw is a great move against the ice, rock, and fairy-type opponents that the Trainer encounters at the start of Paldea’s adventure. In order to teach this steel move to various Pokémon, players need to obtain TM recipes.
Similar to TM 037 Draining Kiss in Pokémon Scarlet Violet, Trainers can find the Metal Claw TM at the start of the journey. Starting from the Los Platos Poké Center, the player must explore the northeast slopes to find a small alcove containing Full Heal, Revive, and a yellow TM 037 Poké Ball.
The hills north of Los Platos aren’t the only place Trainers can find Metal Claw TM in Pokémon Crimson and Violet. According to YouTuber GameLoc, the recipe can also be found in the cave tunnels east of Dalizapa Passage. Another can be found in the Western Province (Region One) – near the ledge near the bridge north of the Central Pokémon Center. However, trainers should remember that they only need to find TMs once in order to access recipes in TM Machines. So there’s nothing wrong with getting multiple copies, but it’s not necessary.
